Online compatible : Yes - This game is almost perfect for online play. Hold the cards where students can see them. Be sure to use playing cards that aren't too small, so students can see the numbers without having to squint at the screen. We don't want to give our students headaches.
Age group : Fun for all ages.
Materials :
Preparation time : None.
Number of players : Works equally well in groups and private lessons.
Objective : To be the player with the least cards at the end of the game.
Instructions :
Shuffle the cards and stack them face down on the table. Turn over the first card and tell students that you believe that the next card in the deck will be of a higher or lower value than the card currently on the table. Turn over the card and place it on the card already visible. If your guess was correct, indicate to the next student that it is now their turn to make a prediction based on the card you have just laid. Continue in this manner until someone makes a false prediction. When a false prediction is made, hand the stack of discarded cards to that player and begin again with a new card from the deck. When you
wish to end the game, ask students to count how many cards they hold. The student with the least cards is the winner.
