Age group : Best played by students aged between 5 and 12.

Materials :

  • One pack of playing cards with all aces and 7s removed.

  • A pair of dice.

Preparation time : The time taken to remove the necessary cards from the deck (roughly 5 minutes)

Number of players : Works best in groups of 3 or 4 students.

Objective : To be first the player to turn all of their cards face down.

Each player starts with the above cards in front of them. Their goal is to turn each of their card over.

Instructions :

Students start the game with the cards 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 face up in front of them. Each turn a player rolls the dice. The sum of the two dice is the card that the player turns face down. If that card is already turned over, the student sitting next to them clockwise turns their card over. It then becomes their turn to roll the dice. If everyone has that value card turned over, the student who originally threw the dice takes another turn. The student with the dice rolls again if all players have cards of the dice value face down. On a roll of a 7, the player who rolled must turn a face down card of their choice back to facing up, and pass the dice to the player next to them clockwise.
