Online compatible : Only playable online
Age group : Best played with students aged between 3 and 9
Materials :
Preparation time : The time required to prepare the flashcards
Number of players : Ideal for groups but adaptable to single student classes
Objective : To be the team with the most points
Instructions :
This game is as simple as they come. Separate your class into teams. Hold your camera very close to a flashcard, so that all that can be seen is one small section of the picture, then slowly and gradually pull the camera back, revealing more and more of the image. The first student to correctly identify the picture and shout the vocabulary corresponding to the card wins a point for their team. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
When playing competitive guessing games, such as this or the following 'Behind the Eyes' in single student classes, the excitement is largely lost without an opposing team. For this reason, it would be advisable to bring a timer to lessons. Instead of competing against another team, have your student race to guess as many flashcards as they can within a short time limit, and then beat their previous scores in subsequent games.
