ONE OF OUR TEACHERS PLAYING A PAPER-BASED GAME WITH ONLINE STUDENTS.
Many of the games of this website were conceived or adapted during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, when many teachers found themselves suddenly thrust into teaching online classes without prior experience, and were therefore required to relearn their own teaching methods. At that time, it was increasingly challenging to predict when an outbreak would occur, and classes that would usually have been conducted on school grounds were switched online in the blink of an eye. Rather than preparing twice, we found and developed games that students could enjoy whether classes were on or offline.
Most of the games require students print a copy of their game sheet before class, and teachers would be advised to make completely sure that students have done so, otherwise valuable lesson time might be lost waiting for students to find themselves a copy. The main advantage of using paper-based games in online classes, as opposed to browser-based games, is these games require no CPU, and will not affect the performance of your computer in class.
