Preparation time : 15 to 30 minutes to prepare the bingo sheets and vocabulary cards.

Objective : To be the first team to complete a line of three, either vertically, horizontally or diagonally.

Instructions

Divide the class into teams and have each team form a circle. Place one bingo sheet of Appendix A in the centre of each circle. Place one printed vocabulary paper under the feet of each student with the blank side face up, making sure that all of the vocabulary of the bingo sheets are represented in each team. Give each team a ball. To begin a round, play the CD, and explain that as music plays students pass the ball to one another. When the music stops the student with the ball keeps hold of it. Let the music play for a short time, then stop the music suddenly. The student with the ball takes the vocabulary sheet from under their feet, finds the matching vocabulary of their team’s bingo sheet, marks it with a crayon, and returns to their original position in the circle. Play the CD again to begin a new round. The team who marks a line of three vocabulary vertically, horizontally or diagonally is the winner.
