Objective : To be the team to score the most points.

Instructions :

Divide the class into teams. Position one of the teams about a metre from the string. Teachers give students of each team 2 minutes to throw the stack of cardboard candy canes at the string. To practice the Christmas vocabulary, each time a student takes a cane, they must first say repeat one of the vocabulary of the flashcards. If the candy cane hooks onto the string, they score the value indicated by the tag for their team. Once all candy canes are thrown, and if there is still time remaining, students may collect the canes that have not hooked onto string. When time is up, count how many points have been scored. It is now the second team’s turn to throw. After repeating a few rounds, count the total score for both teams. The team with the highest score wins.
