Online Compatible : No.
Age group : Best enjoyed with students between the ages of 3 and 9
Materials :
Preparation time : 30 minutes to find good pictures, cut, and glue them around sides of the cans.
Number of players : Works equally well in groups as in private classes
Objective : To stack the cans in the correct order before the time runs out.
Instructions :
Having created the tool to pick up the cans from the elastic band and string, as in the picture to the right, each member of teams of four hold one of the pieces of string. They must all pull their string at the same time to stretch the elastic band, and make the hole in the centre larger. With a large enough hole, the team encircle a can, then loosen the strings to catch a can. The team is then able to move the can, and release each can. With a timer set to a challenging, but not impossible time, the teams must catch, move the cans into position, and release the cans in order to recreate the monster pictures. If they are able to recreate the picture before the timer finishes, the team has won. This game is more fun if there are a variety of heights of different can stacking games, and each new game is harder than the last.
THE ABOVE STACKING GAME IS SMALL, BUT WITH LARGER PICTURES, THE TOWER CAN BE TALLER AND MORE CHALLENGING.
A TOOL TO PICK UP THE CANS. EACH MEMBER OF A TEAM OF FOUR STUDENTS HOLDS ONE STRING AND PULLS THE STRING TO STRETCH THE ELASTIC BAND WIDER, OR LOOSENS THE STRING FOR A SMALLER HOLE.
